Library Visit

Just got back from the local library.....

I think it's safe to say they love me there. I certainly contribute to their high circulation numbers. We go at least twice a week and it's not unusual for me to come home with a stack this high each time.

Never mind the books we already have checked out that we didn't return...

What can I say? We like to read!

What are you reading this week?

  1. I'm a multi-reader so I'm reading two at the same time :) A Year in the World by Frances Mayes and The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin Sharma. I love reading too. Books are my biggest shopping weakness. I need to go to the library more!

  2. I adore the library, too. I always vow that we won't take as many books this week but we always do.

  3. I have rediscovered the library about four years ago. Now i look forward to my weekly visits, and discovering new books each week.
    Enjoy!

  4. Living the mobile lifestyle I can't get a library card so all my reading is now done electronically. Instead of visiting the library I get free eBooks, mostly from ManyBooks.net. That means most of what I read now was written in the late 1800s or early 1900s. I find it amazing how the stories written then still apply to life today.

  5. Sounds like me. Each time I visit the library my goal is not to bring home more books than I've returned that visit. I usually fail. But there are much worse habits! ;)

I'm reading the Story of Stuff by Annie Leonard and I'm devouring it like I usually devour chick lit. It's informative and a great read, I think everyone should read it!

  6. After being a minimalist for a couple of years, I have finally followed my passion and got a part time job at the library. I love, love, love my job, and it always thrills my soul to see someone check out a big stack of books like this. I have about 30 checked out on my own account too. lol! Christa

  7. Linda...I have a friend who is currently traveling around the country with her family for a year. They can't check out books, but they have been trying to visit as many libraries as they can. I think they spend an hour or two, and she and her children read books there.

Candi...I just ordered "The Story of Stuff" from my library. Thanks for the suggestion.

Christa...I currently have 72 books checked out. Granted, most of them are picture books for my kids, but several are for me. It's not uncommon for us to hit 100. Unfortunately, when we have that many, it begins to feel like clutter and weighs heavily on me.
