It's quiet here. The only sounds I hear are the hum of the computer, the clock ticking and my fingers typing. If this were late at night or first thing in the morning, this wouldn't be a big deal. But it's the middle of the day!
It's so rare that I get more than an hour or two of alone time - even rarer that I get to spend it in my own house.
Last week I was longing to stay home for the weekend to work on my "to do list". Instead I opted to join my family and experience some much needed relaxing time in nature. Ironically, I find myself at home today with no "to do list" to work on.
I'm sure I won't have trouble filling the time. What's most appealing is that I can do what I want, when I want, for as long as I want...without interruptions!
I might run errands.
I might run.
I might clean something.
I might curl up with a book.
I might watch a movie.
It doesn't really matter to me what I do.... What matters to me is that it's a break from the normal. I spend so much time with my girls and they with me. I know they enjoy time with just daddy, and I look forward to hearing their stories about the day when they get home.
Oh, I know the feeling! I was alone this afternoon and I took a much needed nap!

Sometimes I crave alone time in my own home. I'm so glad you got yours :)
