Stonehenge - in Washington

Last week I gave you a glimpse into our homeschooling, and today I'm doing something similar. We were studying Stonehenge in our ancient history unit and I suddenly remembered that there is a life-size replica not too far from where we live. It's been years since we took the time to visit it, and when I mentioned taking a spontaneous trip there, the girls were on board!

We grabbed our coats, cameras and coffee and 45 minutes were were there. You can read more about this replica HERE.

  6. I wasn't home schooled, but both of my parents were teachers. I remember all of the trips we took and places we visited during my school years. Seeing California missions during their study made the textbook stories come alive. We camped each summer and took lots of nature hikes and went to the ranger talks. I became a teacher thanks to their inspiration. - Margy
