Amazing Views

You might be tired of me talking about our move, but I am continually amazed at how right this feels. One of the things I was hesitant to give up was my 3 mile running loop through my old neighborhood. I had several different routes I could take - two different lakes to run around and a beautiful park to run through. Now I live in the country.

But....a lot of people walk/run/bike in these parts and when I went for my first run here I was amazed at the beauty I encountered. I get to run past a winery/vineyard, through and orchard, on a watershed trail and through a neighborhood.

And I get views like this...

That's Mt. Adams over in Washington. And if I'm running in the other direction, I can see Mt. Hood here in Oregon. It's beautiful and breathtaking. And seriously so much better than my old neighborhood.

Here's another amazing thing I saw this week...right in my own backyard. A full rainbow. There were actually a couple throughout the day.

And at times there were double rainbows. I remember the first full rainbow I ever saw was here in this town - years ago.

And then as I sat down to read in the evening, this was the view out my back window. Needless to say, I'm loving it here!

  1. Spectacular. I can imagine that the run doesn't even seem like you're running with all that beauty. Thanks for sharing at Pictorial Tuesday.

  5. I'll take what I get, dear one...I have been on a marvelous trip by looking at some of your work, your ideas, and your contact with people all over the world. You cannot begin to understand how proud of you I am and if you recognize that, there will be an inkling of God's love for you and what you and your family have devoted yourself to. I am awed. OF all the beauty that I saw and read the one that stands out the most is the picture of two rainbows where you used to be. Perhaps our Lord is showing His approval. God Bless and let me hear again when you can. I just read that the forget-me-not is the flower blessing of the month of September. If so you are receiving my gift and if it is not a special blessing I will send anyway in love. Marie
