Changes

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}
It's hard to pick a favorite season because they are all so different, but I really do the love the beauty that autumn brings. I love seeing the leaves change colors and fall (but I also love to see the leaves reappear each spring!)

{happy}
I actually have another round of raspberries growing right now!

{funny}
I was out walking the other day and noticed this leaf hanging by a spider's thread. I continued my walk and then returned about an hour later with my camera. It was still there and I had fun taking pics of it. It looks like it's dancing. I posted it on instagram and people were fooled (and impressed) that I got such a good shot of a falling leaf.

{real}
We live right next to a wetland area which we like to call the swamp. We've lived here 5 years now and it's gotten really over grown - the wild berry bushes are beginning to take over. In the past weeks we've seen people out there marking trees and taking photos - talk of a major clean up / clear out. And then they did this on the other side....a total clearing. This week they started on our side, but it's not this drastic. In fact, it will be quite lovely to see the pond once it starts raining and filling up. Until then, it's messy, noisy (constant chainsaws)  and it feels like people are walking through our backyard all day....

  3. I love Autumn and really enjoying seeing the color changes everywhere (we stay green or dry -- as the leaves fall). Love the leaf and the spider web. Cool! Have a lovely week.

  6. Autumn colors are so fascinating. The spider web looks like it's playing games with the leaves.

  7. Autumn is definitely my favorite season. I just wish we lived where the season was a bit more gloriously arrayed. Autumn takes forever to show up and doesn't hang around long before winter moves in. Love your images!
