18 Years and Counting...

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}
We had a fantastic weekend...a gorgeous, 7 mile hike one day and a trip to a lavender farm in our favorite town the next.

{happy}
We celebrated our 18th anniversary this weekend. Here we are 18 years later...

blessed with these two...

{funny}
I bought this fabric at IKEA earlier this week. We got some fabric markers and the girls have spent HOURS coloring it in. For some reason they seem to color better if they are laying on top of it.

{real}
Frogs, frogs....everywhere frogs. Our yard is hoppping!

And this....evidence the skunks are active again. This is about the time of year that we see the babies come out during the day. Haven't seem them yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.

    Also -- what do you plan to do with the IKEA fabric when you're done? And where did you get the markers? My girl and I (and Grandma) would love a coloring project!

    1. I got the idea from Nadia who has it as a table cloth. We are going to take it to IL later this week and give it to my mom as a birthday present... I saw at IKEA that they made curtains out of it.

      I got the markers from Michael's. They are ok, but I like sharpies better. But sharpies will bleed through so you have to be careful about what's underneath.

  10. Wow Jill, what a Cute Couple you make. And what a glorious Foursome!
    Josephine would go crazy chasing those frogs. I would go screaming. Yeah, I know, I'm a wimp.
    I saw that IKEA fabric, but never thought of coloring it. I bet the girls are having HOURS of fun. What a great summer thing to do. Unfortunately, Josephine can't color. Unless you count the muddy brown paw prints on the floors and/or walls. Ha! from m & jb

  12. Okay you and Elizabeth are making me a wee bit jealous with your lavender farm pictures. Each time I think that is the season to visit, then you hit me with a new season. I'm thinking I just need to move to the PNW.

    The frogs, yep they are my favorite this week.

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

    1. Honestly there is not a bad time to visit...there is beauty in every season and this is such a fertile area that there is always some crop ready to harvest. Tulips...poppies...lavender...apples...cherries...pears...dahlias...

      Yes...just move here! : )
