Preparing

In these last few days before Easter, we've been preparing our home for the big celebration. I love this printable I found through Pinterest. In fact, found quite a few fun printables on Pinterest.

I printed off a few of the Christ-centered Easter basket printable to add to my girls' baskets. You can find them HERE. And I printed off the blank cards to create a scavenger hunt for the girls to find their baskets. You can find those HERE.

And I love, love, love these....I found those HERE. I'm pretty sure I have a frame or two in the garage that I can pop these babies into and put them on the mantel on Easter morning.

Speaking of our mantel...here's the simple decoration I have set up this year.

And this beauty sits in the middle of our table.

And of course there is our Easter garden out back...

My hope is that these decorations around our home and in our yard, will give us visual reminders of what we are celebrating. That we will take a moment to stop and be thankful for the sacrifice God made on our behalf, and in doing so, we are preparing more than our homes for the celebration of Easter...we are preparing our hearts.

And then there are the meaningless things that are just fun...
Pick and egg and see what we do next in school!

What are you doing to prepare?

  1. Great ideas Jill! Cute printables. We have our crown of thorns - kids take out a toothpick when they do a kind or sacrificial act for someone, alms giving jar, and we just started this year doing the resurrection eggs. We made them ourselves -
Kids like them so far, something new to r Lenten activities.
