{pretty, happy, funny, real}
{pretty}
my sunflowers are blooming!
{happy}
backyard fires
a new freezer full of berries (picked free)
a birthday serenade
{funny}
zucchini that is almost as large as my youngest child!
90% of my sunflowers are facing my neighbor's yard. They don't follow the sun, they just face his yard all day long. It's not fair. I'm going to have to go to his yard just to enjoy the view. My youngest daughter suggested that I must have planted the seeds backwards!
{real}
It's back to school around these parts and my girls are growing up so quickly!
I think it depends on where you live. I've tried growing them for the past 5 or 6 years and just had success last year. I'm in Oregon now (I tried in VT, MN and MI). Last year I had seeds I bought some where, and this year I planted seeds from last year's flowers!
Beautiful sunflowers! And so sad that they're so hard to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteAt least I can cut them and bring them inside. And I know my neighbor is enjoying them!
DeleteDid you know that today is Roasted Marshmallow Day? :) Love your photos! 'Plant the seeds backwards', so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the sunflowers! Are they hard to grow?

DeleteSunflowers, zucchini, and sitting around a fire are three of my (very most) favorite things! Looks like life is good :)
ReplyDeleteI am so mad at myself for not planting sunflowers! Yours are beautiful, however backwards. As are the children! beautiful, not backwards :)
