We decided to go camping this weekend and get away. Although not overly exciting, it was nice to be completely unplugged and enjoy some more beautiful scenery.
We managed to snag a prime campsite right next to the river. We saw some rafters packing up and parked our van next to the site while waiting for them to leave. It was perfectly located far from any other campers. And this was the view from our campfire.
Did you do anything interesting this weekend?
Not ones to sleep in, we woke up early, ate breakfast and broke camp. We headed to a nearby state park to check out some waterfalls we had not seen....not disappointing!
I feel so blessed to live in an area that is rich with scenery and adventure.

ReplyDeleteI've been away for awhile and now I'm playing catch-up. What a beautiful place! Those waterfalls are incredible. What a lovely trip into the outdoors with your family. It reminds me of my camping gear still packed up in a box from when we moved to Florida. (Florida camping is hot. I'm still a little frightened to do it.)
