Boot Camp - Days 17, 18 and 19

As I continue to chip away at some harder areas of clutter, I will look ahead and post about three days in the book that I don't have much to post about. It felt so good to take a car load full of stuff to Goodwill today. I was amazed that I had found that much more stuff to get rid of.

Collections: I don't really have any collections - at least nothing that's not being covered by other days.

Electronics: We don't have unused electronics sitting around so we are good in this area. This area also falls under my husband's jurisdiction.

Tools: This is another area that is not within my control to declutter. Believe me, if it was we would have PILES of stuff to get rid of!

I was inspired to give our coat closet a make-over today with a quick decluttering session. Now that I have fewer shoes, I wanted to see if we could do without the hanging shoe organizer. That's one thing I am noticing - many of my attempts to organize (baskets, drawer dividers, hanging shoe things....) - these can be clutter themselves.

BEFORE

AFTER

I love that the only things on the shelf are baskets for our gloves, hats, scarves, etc. There are no longer shoe boxes and bags. Everything has a place and it's so much more accessible. This is also the closet where we keep our vacuum - it's tucked into the corner and is much easier to get in and out without the hanging shoe organizer.

  2. So does that mean you got rid of some more shoes? You're doing great Jill! I love the before and after.

    Cheers,
