Savoring Summer

It's only the first full week of our summer break from school,
and already I feel summer slipping away.

I want to do this summer well - to create memories and use our time wisely.
As each year comes and goes I am reminded that my time with my girls is limited.

Last summer my youngest and I made it a goal to visit each of the 19 libraries in our county.
It was fun and we got to see so many different parts of our city.
So far I haven't come up with a comparable idea for this summer.

There is Waffle Cone Wednesday that we'll try to hit weekly.
And we are "visiting" different countries by reading books set in certain countries and then celebrating with an ethnic meal (preferable in a nearby restaurant).

Maybe that's enough...with some spontaneous outings and events sprinkled in.

I'm linking up with Little Things Thursday

  2. Love the water droplets and the trees are awesome. I would enjoy one of those ice cream cones about now. They look delicious. Nothing beats the beauty of those flowers, except the girls. Happy Thursday!

  3. Yes, those summer times go so quickly! I love your idea about Waffle Cone Wednesday! There must be a few ice cream shops you could find each week. Most of all, just enjoy the time you all have together!
