I am truly fascinated by the fern. Every single year I look forward to watching the new fronds emerge and uncurl and every single year I photograph them, trying to capture the beauty of nature.
Of course, as a violinist, I love the fiddle head - the way the violin scroll mimics the design of the fiddle head.
These are just stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteLike they are something from another planet. And so perfect in their curls. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, Jill. Living in Vermont, we called them fiddleheads and actually harvested some of them. They are delicious!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning, Jill! I love looking at the intricacies of nature. You have inspired me to pick up my camera and take some photos of the smaller details of nature.
ReplyDeleteI always love your photos. And I too love the ferns. When I was on the east coast this past week, I hiked along a couple of trails with lots and lots of ferns--it reminded me of PNW.
