Brazos Bend State Park

While in Texas, we had the opportunity to visit the Brazos Bend State Park - known for their alligators and bird wildlife. It was a unique and very impressive park. I could have spent all day, but after a couple hours my girls were ready to head out and get lunch so we only walked a small portion of the park.






When we got to this path, with lake on one side and swamp on the other, we started spotting alligators. I think we saw about 20 total in the 3 hours we were there. And only one of those was completely out of the water and near the trail.

    How amazing is that! I love the marsh feel, I grew up on one and miss it!

    Alligators do indeed live in the park! Excellent captures...but my favorite is that last image....that tree & the sky! Just wonderful!

    Oh my gosh you really saw a lot of Alligators...I'd certainly not try annoying one! Great shots of everything.

    I've traveled THROUGH Southern Texas (Houston) a few times but I've never actually visited the area. Now that I have a cousin living there and another in Corpus Christi I hope to spend a week or two there. Looking forward to visiting this park!
