Killing Us Softly by Efrem Smith

As Christians, we are invited by a loving God to die to self daily. This basic Biblical principal is unpacked in the book Killing us Softly by Efrem Smith. Mr. Smith examines what it means to die to self and how this is connected to our spiritual formation. He suggests that living right-side up in the upside-down kingdom of God is how the lost will be found and the hurting will be helped. Living this way is how we can better represent God's kingdom in the world around us.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for this review.

  1. I like that - living right side up - I think people of all faiths can hold to that!

  2. I hadn't realized that Efrem Smith had published a book. I have met him in person because as former missionaries with World Impact Los Angeles, we still have contacts with WI.
