We celebrated a birthday in our house yesterday. We've kept our birthday celebrations pretty simple over the years (no big parties with friends and family), and I absolutely love the traditions we've created. Yesterday the birthday girl was in charge of school, and although it wasn't our most academic day, it was fun to let her take the lead.
