Visitors

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}

We had company over the holiday weekend - my mom and step-dad came to visit and I took advantage of their visit to get in some "touristy" activities. We visited the rose garden, rode the OHSU tram, chased some waterfalls and stopped at a couple very picturesque lookouts.

{happy}

Words cannot describe how much joy I felt when my oldest daughter was baptized on Mother's Day.
pure JOY!

and it was fun hanging out with my mom on Mother's Day

{funny}

Caught this girl taking selfies

And we all liked the banjo playing squirrel on the farmer's market sign.
This was our first gig of the summer and it was so much fun!

This is often what I get when I ask them to pose...

We are in the home stretch in terms of finishing up our school year! Only a few math lessons left in our books, and our state tests are scheduled for May 23. It will be nice to have a more relaxed schedule for a few months. I have many summer projects I'd like to get started on!

    The roses in that first photo by the way are marvelous - filled with light, rimmed with beauty!
