Pink Tree Season

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}
We have so many pretty blooms right now...I love "pink tree" season!

{happy}
I also love spotting local wildlife when I got out for walks...

And this was a wonderful surprise...Olloclip chose one of my macro photos to be their photo of the month. They featured my photo on their instagram account, and also featured it in their blog post.

{funny and real}
School days....there aren't ever two that are alike. Somedays we have rabbits in the house, somedays we have poetry tea time and somedays we have sunlight streaming through as we practice violin.

  1. You lucky woman! Here in Iowa everything is still grey and brown, overcast and depressing. Thank you for sharing the lovely pics of the beauties of nature, they give me hope that spring can't be too far away!

    1. Having grown up in Illinois, I know what midwest winters are like. I've also lived in some pretty snowy areas (Vermont and Michigan's UP). I love the early spring we have here, and don't take it for granted. Even though things have started blooming, we still have our share of gray, cloud-covered, rainy days ahead...

  7. I love the blossoms in the vase in the last picture of Pretty. Sigh. Gorgeous. And your happy goose just made me smile. Still bare and cold here in the Midwest but SOON now, I hope.

  8. What kind of rabbits do you have? I have mini-holland lops and we bring them in to play, too. I had no idea how much I'd love rabbits, but now we have 4 and I would love to breed some "Easter bunnies" some year.

  11. You have a lot more blooming than we do here in south TX, BLESSED! :) What a beautiful and fun collection, Jill! Bunnies in the house, fun! My dad raised bunnies, white ones with red eyes, for awhile when I was a wee girl. They are so sweet. I needed a violin image for one of my blog posts this week and thought of you! Have a wonder-filled weekend!

  12. Wow! It is looking very spring like there. We are headed for Autumn down here in Aus but where I live doesn't look any different, just slightly shorter days. I love all the flowers you have on show.

  13. Great photos! I see a woodwork piece of Oregon on the wall, so I assume that's where you are... that's where I'm from but my home is Alaska now. Beautiful captures of nature around you. I want to ask, too, since I clicked on your link from the Becoming Minimalist site, how do you keep the minimalist concept true for how you store your digital photos and what you do with them? I am clearing out my computer of old photos in preparation for our twin girls arriving soon (and the many photos that I'll be taking, I'm sure!), and it has always stressed me out to have thousands and thousands of photos on my computer not really achieving a purpose. Have any thoughts on this?? I'm inspiring myself to do some research and see what others think, too. :)

    1. Yes! I'm in Oregon...we moved here 6 years years ago and love it. Congrats on your upcoming arrival of twin girls. I take a lot of photos and try to keep only the best ones. I find that after a few years have passed, I'm able to go through them and eliminate most of them. I've started creating an annual albums and move those pics to a "best of the year" folder and can see keeping only those eventually.
