Capture the Moment

Every day moments - we all encounter them, sometimes we even capture them with our cameras, but it's hard to turn them into photographic examples of fine art. If you are looking for inspiration on how to capture the beauty of every day moments, then you need to get your hands on a copy of Sarah Wilkerson's new book Capture the Moment.

The book is full of stunning images, and each image has a short tutorial or explanation of how it was created. It is beautiful, practical and inspirational from cover to cover. It is a book that can easily be devoured in one sitting or savored through many. Capture the Moment is a treasure - a book I will come back to again and again for ideas, inspiration and explanations.

The book is divided into different chapters that cover different elements of photography (lighting, rule of thirds, leading lines, etc). In addition to short tutorials and photographic examples, there are suggested assignments and tricks for each chapter.

I love how the essentials of photography are presented in this book - in such a clear, concise manner that is easily digestible.  This is just the kind of resource I've been looking for and know I will come back to this again and again.
