Weekend Reads

Some linky love this weekend -

All of the above inspired me to think more about this journey of living with less. In particular, Jennifer inspired me to define my style and create a 10-item wardrobe. In watching her new video I realized a couple things about myself and my style preferences. I decided to keep a few items I had planned to get rid of, and returned some recently bought items. I was more excited about keeping (and wearing more frequently) the things I already had than I was about buying new things!

I absolutely loved Jennifer's book and am eagerly awaiting my turn at reading her most recent one (which I understand to be more about decluttering the home). I also love watching her you tube videos and am allowing myself one a day.

  2. So thankful to have read the sneaking to teaching article. I'm so that mom that sneaks stuff out (and hides most of it in the basement in case they ask for it later) neglecting the teaching of why I think it's important to keep a clutter free room. Going to be thinking long and hard on this one! :)

    1. I used to only sneak stuff out, but as my girls have gotten older I've included them in the decluttering process. I still sneak some stuff, but it's trivial junk that they would never notice.

    2. My boys are 4 & 6 so I'm hoping to involve them more and more as they get older. Right now they seem very attached to EVERYTHING! Two or four weeks later they will remember a specific toy that I thought they didn't care about. I need an explanation for why I think its important to not have TOO much.
