Black and White Wednesday ~ My Violin

Last week I shared some photos of my violin that I did as an ABCs of violin series during the month of October. Today I have a few more to share from that series....

T is for tailpiece

Y is for young....with the popularization of the Suzuki method, children as young as 3 can play the violin. A violin can be made to size, thus allowing little ones to play. Picture above is a 1/32 violin (smallest size) and a 4/4 violin (full size).

S is for scroll (do you see the initials RS carved into my scroll?)

P is for purfling...inlaid into hand made instruments

F is for a frog sitting on the frog

  3. A wonderful and completely different view of a violin. I had no idea that they exist in such a small size. How did you manage to make the frog pose for you?
