And now it's fall....

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}
What's not to love about early fall?
Flowers still blooming...
cooler days...
plenty of sunshine with rain sprinkled into our days....
leaves changing colors...
pumpkin and cinnamon...

{happy}
just having fun with my camera and my violin ~ combining two of my passions

{funny}
The other night, after I'd put the girls to bed, I heard a strange rendition of "The 10 Days of Christmas" being sung by them. I went in to see what they were doing and found this...

When they were much younger we made our own "10 Days of Christmas" books. They had found them and were singing through them.

{real}
This is what homeschooling really looks like most days. It's not the idyllic experience I had dreamed of. Instead, it's learning to do things even if we don't like them. And it's learning how to best use our time.

  7. Love those fall flowers and the violin among the leaves is gorgeous! I am laughing (only because I received a similar note some years ago...) at the I hate math note. I have to admit it is not my favorite of subjects and unfortunately our daughter felt the same way. Your Christmas books are precious : )
