And now it's fall....

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

What's not to love about early fall?
Flowers still blooming...
cooler days...
plenty of sunshine with rain sprinkled into our days....
leaves changing colors...
pumpkin and cinnamon...

just having fun with my camera and my violin ~ combining two of my passions

The other night, after I'd put the girls to bed, I heard a strange rendition of "The 10 Days of Christmas" being sung by them. I went in to see what they were doing and found this...

When they were much younger we made our own "10 Days of Christmas" books. They had found them and were singing through them.

This is what homeschooling really looks like most days. It's not the idyllic experience I had dreamed of. Instead, it's learning to do things even if we don't like them. And it's learning how to best use our time.

  1. Beautiful pictures-- the leaf one is just gorgeous! And thanks for linking up with me!

  2. Loved your 'pretty' and your 'real'. I have several friends who homeschool. It's worth it. Stay strong. Keep the faith.

  3. Such great pictures! The ones of the violin are really gorgeous!

  4. Wonderful series of photos ~ love your violin and boots!

  5. From the flowers, to the building, to the boots and the violin and to the fact I too do hate math! These are all so gorgeous! :>

  6. I love your photos, and coming here. I feel like I get a little piece of you each time I visit. You imagery is simply stunning.

  7. Love those fall flowers and the violin among the leaves is gorgeous! I am laughing (only because I received a similar note some years ago...) at the I hate math note. I have to admit it is not my favorite of subjects and unfortunately our daughter felt the same way. Your Christmas books are precious : )

  8. Fall is a gorgeous time. Such beauty captured here! I hope I don't miss it all!

  9. Fun post - and you are right - what is not to love about Autumn.
