Weekending

It was so GOOD and FUN to get out for a hike this weekend. I find late fall, winter, early spring to be the most challenging time for photography. When the flowers aren't out, and the gray clouds and fog are dominating the landscape, you have to search for RANDOM things to photograph.

Over the past couple years I've been training myself to search for and find beauty in everything.

I decided to get some up-close, macro shots of moss, lichen and dead flowers. When you look closely, you'll see that nothing is ordinary.

Linking up with Macro Monday and The Good. The Random. The Fun.

  1. Hi Jill,
How very pretty! The second and third pics remind me of what you see in pictures of a coral reef.
    Happy Week!

  3. Gorgeous! I so agree, by this time of the year the newness and pureness of the winter is gone and the gray lingers. I too spent some time this weekend looking for the beauty in this "in between" season.

    Thanks for linking up!

  4. These are amazing! Such a treat to set our hearts to find beauty in everything...cause it really is there!! Those last two are my favorites ~ just cause I'm addicted to these dried winter "flowers" and seeds!!
