Mid-November

taking a moment to capture contentment and joy in every day life

{pretty}
there are still a few gorgeous trees

 and even the bare trees have a beauty of their own

 love all that's going on in this....
a fall hydrangea mixed with an evergreen

and I've discovered the beauty of fungi!

The girls gave a Book 2 violin graduation concert over the weekend!

We got to see Grandma and Grandpa one more time!

This guy stayed still long enough for me to switch lenses and get a few shots.

{funny}
We didn't have much time for a family outing on Sunday so we decided to drive up the road and shoot some paintballs. This girl decided to be the human target and stand behind the wooden sign. She looked quite funny after getting her gear on!

Same girl had dyed hands after a science experiment. Despite vigorous washings, this was the best she could get them.

{real}

I've still got a lot of planning to do when it comes to Advent and Christmas. Hoping to take some time tonight to sit down and write down some of my ideas. Next week is Thanksgiving here - I'm hosting two other couples - then the day after we get new carpet. So I've got some house rearranging to do between now and then!

  1. Wow - beautiful pictures! I captured a few frosty nature shots, too. I love how just looking at these types of photos makes me shiver a little :)

    And, paintball?! Wow, so do you go to a place or do you just own your own equipment? My kids are too little but I imagine daddy would love to go paint-balling sometime. I don't believe he's ever been.

    1. Thanks Kayleena!

      My husband has his own paintball gun and our oldest is getting one for Christmas (shh...don't tell her). He plays on his own and at fields that hold games.

  3. Jill your pictures are stunning... don't edit them. I say keep doing what you are doing and don't worry about an editing program. You should do a forest land series, you are great at capturing the little nuances of the great outdoors. Those mushrooms, oh my!
