Packing Light

I am not very good at packing light. No matter how hard I try, I always end up taking too much stuff with me when we travel. We have a week long trip this month, and I'm going to do my best to pack as light as possible. Half way through the trip I will have access to laundry, so that will help.

Some great reasons to pack less...
  • Less luggage to carry
  • Fewer fees to pay if you are traveling by air
  • Less time packing and unpacking - before, during and after the trip

Some tips for packing less...
  • Know what you will be doing on your trip
  • Know what the weather will be like
  • Choose clothes that can be worn interchangeably
  • Wear your heaviest clothing
  • Make the most of your carry on
  • Don't pack a separate outfit for each day
  • Pack what you think you need and then remove at least one outfit

Do you have any tips you can add to the list? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
