I'm linking up with littlegreenshed again for the nature in the home series.
This week's theme is a favorite plant. Can I just say it's really hard for me to pick a favorite anything? So I don't have a favorite plant or favorite flower. In late summer I love the boldness of sunflowers. In early summer I love the beauty and fragrance of peonies. When I'm hiking I love to see the different wildflowers blooming in some of the most unseemly places. They are all favorites of mine.
So I'm taking a little different angle here this week. One of my favorite things to do is go to a farmer's market and buy fresh bouquets to bring home.
We enjoyed this bouquet for several days, then the peony began to lose it's petals. To give it new life, I started all over with the remaining flowers and broke it up into four smaller bouquets that now grace the kitchen table, both bathroom counters and the windowsill by the kitchen sink.
oh what a beautiful bouquet! what is the yellow fluffy flower? x
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you asked because I've been wondering the same thing! Your inquiry encouraged me to find out - it's a globe cornflower. Isn't it cool?
DeleteThat globe cornflower looks really exotic - like it should be called some sort of very fancy foreign name! Beautiful x
ReplyDeleteI agree is is impossible to have just one favourite, different flowers suit different times of the year don't they? gorgeous photos, katie x
