Fiddleheads

I've always loved looking at fiddleheads on ferns as they uncurl. This past weekend when we were hiking, I couldn't help but stop and snap some photos.

I am equally fascinated by another kind of fiddlehead....

Have a beautiful weekend!

  1. Very cute! I just found your blog clicking around on {PHFR}. I have three (out of five) children in a Minneapolis Suzuki program and homeschool, so I think I'll enjoy visiting here more often!

    1. I'm glad you stopped by! I don't know if you read my "about me" section, but I'm a Suzuki violin teacher (I actually have another blog about teaching and practicing...I don't post there very often, but hope to get back to it soon).

I'm teaching my two daughters to play so there is a lot of violin music around here : )

  2. Yes, I did read that in your "about me" section and subscribed to your other blog as well. I still need creative ideas for practicing, now more than ever. My 13yo (Book 5 violin) acts like she is done letting me help her, so I need new ways to approach being in the same practice room with her. My 11yo (Book 3 piano) is still a sweetheart about be helping her. My 9yo (Book 1 cello) is great once he gets going. My 6yo wants to begin harp, so that will be a new adventure for all of us! I signed up for the Parents as Partners videos on the SAA website and have been trying to incorporate ideas when I am not too worn out from homeschooling.

Homeschooling and the Suzuki program compliment the other quite naturally, but doing both can sure wear a mom out! I would love to find more resources for homeschooling/Suzuki moms, especially now that younger moms in the studio are have started asking for my advice.
