Finish Strong

I'm a New Year's Resolutions kind of gal. I love making them and am actually pretty good about keeping most of them. I love how they help keep me focused so I can be intentional about reaching certain personal goals throughout the year.

The other day I came across my list, and after reading through it I began feeling a bit guilty about my lack of following through in a couple areas.

But then I realized that the year was not over yet and I could finish strong.

For example...
  • I haven't practiced my violin regularly this year like I had hoped. But I have been playing every day this month.
  • We don't have X amount of money in our savings like we had hoped. But I can get serious about it starting today. This will also help me reign in our spending during the holidays.
  • I've not been very strict with myself when it comes to "one in, one out". But I can put that principle into practice for the rest of the year.
Although the reality of the year has been different than I had imagined, I can still be intentional about the final 6 weeks. I can finish strong.

How about you?

  1. I made a goal for myself to read 100 books this year. I'm close at 92 books. With the holiday season approaching I'm actually beginning to wonder if I will have time to finish my goal. My new plan is to try some books in the Christmas fiction genre. That will get me into the holiday mood and help with my goal.

    1. 92 books is A LOT!! I try to read 50 every year. I'm at 45 so I'm doing good.
