{pretty, happy, funny, real} - Sailing

All photos for this week's {p,h,f,r} post come from our Labor Day sailing experience.

{pretty}
I love where I live because of scenery like this....

 {happy}
I love my family and being able to share adventures like this one with them makes me so happy.

{real}
The river is low....very low. The sand you see here is normally part of the river.

Also very real about this area....this is a "clothing optional" area. We knew that, and we've been to this island beach several times without any problems. In fact, we thought the "clothing optional" area was on the other side of the island. Turns out we were wrong. There was a group of young 20 somethings who opted NOT to wear their clothing and when we noticed we hurried out of there as quickly as we could. It was really too bad because this was the perfect spot for our girls to play and swim. (sorry - no photos of the nude frisbee players)

{funny}
When we returned to the boat launch, I jumped out of the boat to get on shore and keep the boat from slamming into the rocks. Only on my way out, my bathing suit got caught on one of the boat cleats. I was stuck, hanging off the boat. My feet couldn't quite reach the shore and half of my backside was exposed. There were quite a few people around, but the boat and myself were not facing any of them. However, the boat began turning toward the crowd and I was calling to my husband to come save me from total embarrassment! Sorry - no photo. I was a bit pre-occupied!

  2. Maybe all the other bathers had had similar adventures and didn't intend to be nude!! Beautiful scenery!
