Originally I had planned to spend the afternoon running errands and shopping, but when we got in the car, the battery was dead.
Instead we decided to go for a walk and collect leaves.
So I followed miss green boots....
and miss silver shoes.....
and we set off around the neighborhood.
The colors that we encountered were magnificent.
Yellows....
various shades of orange....
red against a brilliant blue sky
We even found a variety of hues of purples and blues on a couple hydrangea bushes.
This afternoon turned out to be far more enjoyable than any shopping trip would have been. I love unexpected surprises like this ~ stealing moments to savor the continuing change of seasons.
What a beautiful fall walk you got to go on with your girls. Those green boots are adorable, and the hydrangeas are so special, they don't grow where I live. ;0
