As much as I would like to be in a position to live life without a schedule, I realize that I can't. With two young daughters whom I homeschool, it seems essential to have a schedule, or at the very least a routine to follow.
What I can do, is have a simple schedule.
I envisioned something flexible and also something visible to everyone.
Here's what I came up with. I bought a poster-sized, week-long chart. I cut off Sunday and Saturday to simplify it.
I bought some velcro dots and affixed one to each day.
I bought some colored dots (labels) and affixed the other half of the velcro dots. I also wrote our subjects/assignments on the dots.
Now we have a simple (not complicated, easy to use), flexible schedule that fits nicely on the side of our kitchen cupboards. We all can refer to it for the day's/week's activities and know what is expected of us.
I chose not to list specific times so we aren't locked in to a rigid time line. I love that we can easily change the order and really make this schedule work for us.
Great idea!!
