Snow Day

February has done it again...teasing us with warm, spring-like weather, then reminding us it's still winter.

For most people in the US, today is a holiday. But our homeschool co-op was planning to meet. Thanks to the snow...we have a holiday!

I don't mind, or at least I'm trying to to let the change in schedule ruffle my feathers much. I tend to be a pretty structured person, so getting off schedule can throw me into a worrying tizzy. It doesn't help that our community day was canceled last week due to sickness. Now we are 2 weeks off!

I keep reminding me that the extra time at home is an unexpected gift. Now excuse me while I go get a cup of hot tea and a good book!

  2. Haha, at least there are books to let all the stress glide off our shoulders! Now my daughter has suddenly become a homeschool mom, I'm learning that "scheduling" is everything! But if you are a structured person, it will come all together in the end, Jill! Love how the snow makes your flowers look like jewels! Yesterday we had snow (in California mountains) unecpectedly. Many thanks for sharing the beauty of it with All Seasons! Have a lovely week:)

  3. It sure is pretty over here in PDX. I do find it funny how it melted within minutes of the sun rising yet everything is still paralyzed!

  4. I love that we both have photos of the snow on dried hydrangeas and on the rhododendrons. Great minds think alike!

  5. I resonate with your comment about how the unexpected can throw you into a tizzy. I am working hard on this - to look at the silver lining of the unexpected ... most of the time it is a 'gift' that brings me joy if I can stop long enough to look for it!

  8. Such a pretty photo juxtapositions of flowers covered with snow! I hope they all survived. Spring does not come to Colorado until June--we can have snow all through the month of May!
