Winter Wonderland

We spent the beginning of 2017 in central Oregon, which was dressed extravagantly in it's winter coat. It was beautiful (and quite cold). We live near Portland, ,which experiences fairly mild winters, so it's nice to spend several days surrounded by snow. Before moving to Oregon, we lived in much snowier places (Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Vermont, Minnesota, western New York), so we are familiar with long winters, but our bodies aren't used to the freezing temps anymore like they used to be.

I forgot the memory card for my dslr camera, so all my photos were taken with my phone. Thankfully, I had my macro lens so I could capture the beauty and details of the snowflakes (which I'll be sharing on Thursday).

  1. Fantastic photos. As always, being partial to macros, the red berry shot is my favorite.

  3. So much snow, we can only dream of. We live close to the sea and therefore is our winter always mild! Enjoy your stay. Groetjes Hetty

  5. Great you had some time off in the snow with your family! Have to admit that the only time off in the snow I took was to get shots of the snow. My real time off was with my grands inside:):)
The berry capture is stunning! Also, to see you in these beautiful captures - and thank you for sharing this with ALL SEASONS! Have a beautiful week (back to school?)!
