Ornaments and Squirrels

Over the past several years, my girls and I have had a special little garden in our front yard where the yard meets the sidewalk. We've painted rocks (and invited passers-by to take one), set out small bouquets of flowers from our backyard garden, set up fairy garden tea parties and more. We've never done anything special for Christmas until this year....

We made birdseed ornaments and hung them (along with other ornaments) on the tree. I'm hoping our neighbors enjoy the bit of festivity as they walk, run and bike the neighborhood.

I know the squirrels are enjoying it...I caught this guy waiting for me to leave so he could snatch a treat.

In other news...I have a Hamilton-loving friend and decided to make her an ornament. It was a fun little project and she and her family loved it.

And speaking of Hamilton, this Christmas album is beautiful....

  2. I love bird seed ornaments! We make them for Shabbat Shira - a torah portion about remembering to read the birds!

  4. Love this idea for the tree! I know the squirrels in my neighborhood would love it -- as would the kids! I'm listening to Christmas carols that have sounds of nature along with them ... loving it, but the bird sounds are driving my kitties nuts ... they keep looking for the birds! Merry Merry!
