A Weekend up North

When we first heard a favorite singer / songwriter / author was coming to the Pacific Northwest for a concert we tried to figure out if we could make the trip up north to hear him. The concert was Sunday evening and we all had commitments on Monday morning. So we decided not to go. But then as the date got closer, we decided we'd be dumb to miss it.

So....we drove three hours north and spent a couple days in a new-to-us town. The forecast was iffy, but the rain held off and we had cloudy, but decent weather for waking around.

And then, finally, we got to hear Andrew Peterson in concert. We've enjoyed his music for years and then a couple years ago we discovered a fictional series he was writing called the Wingfeather Saga. It's good. Really good. It's one of those stories that people of all ages can enjoy. Anyway, we managed to meet Andrew for a few minutes before the concert, and then had front row seats. It was so good and so inspiring.

  8. Goodness the color in your part of the world is so pretty. I think I need to visit the PNW in the spring and in the fall.
