The Good, Random, Fun ~ Week 15

the GOOD
In 2016 I'm attempting to do #52weeksofstorytelling with a different theme each week.
Week 14/52 - Solitude

As an introvert, I need to seek out times of solitude on a daily basis. My favorite ways are to get up before everyone else and read, or go out for a walk/run. Often, though, one of my girls will ask to join me on my walk and it's hard to resist that. This past week I was getting desperate so I announced that I had errands to run...no one wanted to join me and I had a lovely time wandering in and out of stores...not shopping, just wandering and recharging. I used to feel bad about wanting or needing time alone, but now I embrace it because it helps me be a better wife and mom.

more GOOD
We live near a park that is lined with these cherry trees that bloom pink every year. It is so beautiful, and I make every effort to walk through them daily when they are blooming.

the RANDOM
dogwood blooms, frog friends, bouquet beauties
pink trees and Mt. Hood, highly edited spider web, my one lilac bloom
another dogwood bloom, more dewy spider webs, matching shoes

the FUN
carrying on with my 365_today prompts
(my participation in these is starting to wane...)
flora, fauna, friendship, fifty-fifty

I'm linking up with Good, Random, Fun , Seasons and Life Through the Lens

  3. Once again, your collages are so inspirational. And my muse needs some inspiration! I can relate to the need for alone time. I think that's part of the reason I am so uninspired.

  4. Wow - your "more good" collage is incredibly beautiful and speaks to me the most (nature is the only way where I like pink, lol).
I am not an introvert, but I do need solitude - so solitude is good for recharging, seeing perspective on all that has happened and balancing out our feelings! I once saw a sign that said (paraphrased), the greatest thing you can do for your child is to be a happy parent. So true, also for the other roles we have in life.
Almost forgot, many thanks for linking one of your beautiful thumbnail pics to SEASONS, and can't wait to see your next week's photo:):) Have a happy one!

Shoot you also forgot you homeschool, solitude keeps you sane. Its good you have that figured it, it took me a while to grasp the idea of solitude regenerating my energy.
