taking a moment to find joy in the little things
{pretty}
The girls and I had the most beautiful little hike back to my favorite waterfall. It was chilly, but the light was spectacular.
Speaking of chilly....we've been having quite a bit of winter weather this past week. What started out as a snow storm quickly turned to rain and ice.

That snowstorm turned ice....it created a mess. The town and area is not prepared to deal with it, so driving anywhere is quite unsafe. Schools were cancelled for an extra two days.
Una fotos maravillosa, un paseo espectacular sin duda..

ReplyDeleteMy nephew said "ice isn't nice!" Hope you're warm and dry!
wonderful...
ReplyDeleteThat second ice shot is stunning. I am sorry your storm turned to ice. Makes for pretty pictures but hard for traveling.

ReplyDeleteI've been in contact with family where you live and they say it's beautiful today and the ice is gone. While ice is beautiful, it's also treacherous. I'm glad you stayed safe and that you got some stunning photos.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that hike!
Wow, that was a chilly walk! The ice around the flowers look so beautiful and fairy tale like! Have a happy 2016:)
ReplyDeleteCOLD!

ReplyDeleteA walk and a waterfall ... sounds perfect to me! Love the "hello". Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThat walk looks beautiful and the frozen flowers just tickle my fancy. I hope thing thaw out a bit and get more snow like than ice like. I bet the kids loved the extra bit of time away from school.
ReplyDeleteHaving that glisten of ice on a subject is wonderful for a photographer -- not so much drivers! Best to stay safe, and warm indoors. We just have a ton of snow and it's a bit cold right now to go out and take pictures. That's a beautiful spot you have to visit.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pines in the sunlight and the iced flowers. Your surroundings are spectacular and you catch them so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWow that waterfall was stunning (Where was that taken)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a mighty chilly walk but one that was enjoyed. I liked your dripping icicle shot and the frozen hello.
Jill, fabulous shots! I love the waterfall shots ~ beautiful! Oh, I hate ice! That's what we usually get here in Knoxville. The city usually shuts down when we get that stuff. In past years I've been stranded along the roads and interstate because nothing goes well in this mess. Thanks for linking up on Wednesday. I'm running late, like always! Have a fototastic weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely! These make me want to buy a bunch of warm clothing items and embrace the cold.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful waterfall and pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh my - the ICE shots are so cool! We're finallys supposed to get a dusting of snow tonight - I'm excited! So so glad I get to visit Oregon thanks to you!!
