Documenting Our Days...

On Friday I took a photo each hour in an effort to document one of our days. It was fun and it will give you a pretty good look into what a normal day looks like for us...

am
my personal quiet time to pray, study, drink coffee and read
(this is my most cherished and important time of the day)

7 am
girls wake up and feed the rabbits

8 am
breakfast

9 am
school has begun and we are working hard on math

10 am
read aloud (currently reading The Prairie Thief by Melissa Wiley)

11 am
writing
The girls ended up on the floor due to the desk having turned into an art studio during the read aloud.

noon
laundry....always laundry (and lunch)

1 pm
violin practice

2 pm
time to run errands, but first we must get the mail

3 pm
library

4pm
Jamba Juice for a treat (because it was Friday and the girls had earned it)

5pm
time to run and get some exercise in
(as an introvert I really need time alone in the morning and time alone in the
afternoon to reboot and have the energy to interact with my family)

Taking the photos and then posting them hourly was time consuming, but I hope to do this at least twice a year for documentation. Not only did I enjoy the documenting part, I also enjoyed trying to creatively capture our day through my lens.

  2. This is such a great idea! It will make me take notice of our own home school days here as they unfold.
