Central Oregon

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}

{happy}
I did it! I ran my first 1/2 marathon this past weekend and met my goal of finishing in under 2 hours. It was fun and I feel a great sense of accomplishment. I don't know if I'll do another one in the future, but I'm so glad I did this one!

that's me getting ready to cross the finish line

{funny}
the canoe is longer than the car
{real}
Forests burn and the forest we hiked through was victim to a fire not too long ago. It definitely offers a different kind of landscape.

  5. Oh wow......sighing many sighs and looking again and again at your photos. Cannot wait for our trip!!!! It's wonderful to see so much rushing water and so much snow on the peaks - always much less by the time we get out there! The burnt out forests always catch my eye - it's amazing to see those that were burnt a while back and to see all the young trees beginning to show themselves and grow up among the dead trees. Thanks for these - and congrats on your run!!
