It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

taking a moment to find joy in the little things

{pretty}

{happy}

{funny and real}
I'll admit that these photos look pretty enough to be in the {pretty} category but there's a pretty funny story behind these. I saw this idea on pinterest and got really excited about doing it. I had wanted to decorate our tree outside but didn't really want to go buy ornaments that would likely get weathered or blown away so this idea was perfect. I had friends coming over that day and called my friend to see if she'd stop by the store on her way to pick up the supplies.

She did...we made them...they were cute and great.

The next morning I noticed 2 of the 6 had blown and fallen down. Still, there was a bird eating off one so that was ok. Then the next morning all 6 were completely gone. The only thing left were the ribbons, hanging on the trees. I'm sure there are some very happy squirrels somewhere.

And now my tree is bare again.

  2. I love your outdoor tree decorations & need to try that myself - we love feeding the birds, so it would be fun to make them a special treat!

  4. I am seriously impressed with the scripture copywork. Did everyone take a paragraph? Awesome job!

    1. I started and then my younger daughter begged to write some. Then my older daughter wrote a bit. We took turns off and on throughout the day. I wrote the majority of it, but they definitely contributed.
