Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread - Proverbs 30:8

the flowers fade and wither....

I need weeks like this...
 a week full of beauty...
a week to focus on Jesus and his sacrifice...
a week to focus on loving others...
a week to lift my hands and believe again...

Earlier today I was thinking I needed Holy Week every week. It's true...I do need to focus on Jesus every single day. But there is something special and sacred about times like advent and lent and Holy Week. If it happened all the time, it would lose it's appeal.

As I walked through the park this week, which is in full bloom, I began to wish the trees were always pink. But then they wouldn't be special and I wouldn't appreciate them as much. This week, I am enjoying a daily stroll through them.

Same with Mt.'s a good thing we can't always see it, because when it appears, it's majestic and beautiful.

And the tulip fields... so pretty. I look forward to them all year.

These things will pass. This season, this holiday, these blooms....they will all pass. Even we will pass.

All men are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord stands forever.
I Peter 1:24-25

I'm linking up with Whatever is Lovely at Beauty Observed and Floral Love

  1. You are so right, we wouldn't enjoy each of the seasons if we lived in our favorite one all of the time. Even though I really wish it would be summer all of the time ;)

  2. Beautiful photos! So glad to have stopped here from Beauty Observed. And so glad you shared them. May we see His beauty all around us in the days ahead. Have a blessed Easter!
