giving my brain a workout today
writing this post in phrases of
six words using the theme stretch
sharing five random thoughts with you
1. tulips stretching as far as the eye
can see...row after row planted
2. still thinking of all the ways
the trip to Thailand stretched me...
It's always good to get out
of our comfort zones and experience
life in a different way and
see things we don't usually see.
3. Right now I can think of
many ways God is stretching me...
as a mom, wife, sister, daughter...
creatively, spiritually, intellectually, musically and more!
4. Stretching your body and your self
can yield great benefits....I find
that the act of stretching prepares
me for the work of growth.

5. if you devote your heart and
stretch out your hands to him,
if you put away the sin
that is in your hand and
allow no evil to dwell in
your tent, then you will lift
up your face without shame; you
will stand firm and without fear.
So very nice.
ReplyDeleteLovely words and really beautiful tulips.
ReplyDeleteGreat post filled with some wise thoughts. I need to "stretch" more often.
ReplyDeleteLoved those Tulips all in those rows upon rows.
I've never been to the Tulip Festival and really want to go! You're the third person I know posting photos of it today.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you've never been....it's so beautiful! This was my third time in 5 years. I hope to go every year because it's just so beautiful.
DeleteWow, so many tulips!
ReplyDeleteAnd a lovely post, with them all.
Have a great and quiet weekend :-)
Thank you - you too!
DeleteLove how you defined stretch. Is the top picture the tulip fields in the Netherlands? I'm going there in a couple of weeks. Hope they are still showing off!
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not the Netherlands...it's Oregon! the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, OR.
DeleteHey, I like that 6 word Friday. I may have to check it out. Great post.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips look amazing. I don't think ours will be that great this year. We had the amazing year last year.
ReplyDeleteThese aren't really "my" tulips : ) I bought some bulbs from this farm last year, and they are growing quite nicely in my garden, though.
DeleteLove the tulip field and all the words you shared certainly are food for thought. Great ideas for Stretch. :)
ReplyDeleteI was on a train from Paris to Amsterdam - years ago! - and all of a sudden - there they were!! Those tulip fields with the windmills! I was completely unprepared for the beauty. For the miles and miles of them! And I wasn't really a photographer at the time ... but your tulip fields have certainly brought me back there!
