Weekend in Review

Over the past couple weeks I've enjoyed finding some new places to link-up and today I'm trying a couple new ones.

In preparation for our trip to Thailand, we've been trying out Thai cuisine...both at restaurants and at home. It's been fun to experiment and taste some really GOOD food! I love the beautiful packaging of these rice noodles.

We woke up to another RANDOM ice storm Sunday morning. We didn't realize how bad it was until we got in the van to go to church. This was my view looking out the window. Since we were under a bit of a time constraint, we had to change to plan B and get in the other vehicle - the one that was warm and in the garage. Thankfully the roads weren't bad, and the ice had melted by the time we were out of church.

It was a rainy, rainy weekend so there were no big adventures for our family. I did a lot of running around and shopping for Thailand - after going through summer clothes for the girls I realized they were in need of travel clothes. It was NOT FUN - especially since most of what I bought on Saturday had to be returned or exchanged on Sunday.

So the only "fun" I had was playing with my camera and practicing my macro skills.

I snipped this hellebore flower off a plant in my backyard and brought it in to be my first subject.

I love getting a closer look at how intricate creation can be. So beautiful.
