Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread - Proverbs 30:8

Random 5 Friday

My head is always full of random thoughts. And then I sit down to write a few and I'm completely blank.

1. I'm thinking of getting my hair cut shorter. It's already short by most standards, but I really want something different. I also want to stop coloring my hair and return to my natural color. My next appointment (in less than 2 weeks) is a cut and color appointment. I have so much growth that if I get some cut off, then I'm that much closer to really having my natural color back (without having to try to dye it to match my natural color).

2. Lately I've had this fantasy of having the freedom to spend a whole day or week or whatever, chasing beauty with my camera. I'd love to just grab my camera, hop in my car and drive to wherever to practice photography. I've been following several area photographers on IG and I'm amazed at the shots they get right here locally. Instead I find myself limited to my backyard most days.

3. I have several books to read in the next week or so. I've agreed to review three - two have specific release dates that I need to respect and the other I just want to get through so I can request a different book. If only I didn't spend so much time on instagram.

4. Lately, no matter what time I get to bed, I can't seem to wake up earlier than 7am. My target wake up time is somewhere between 6 and 6:30, but I don't set an alarm. I like to wake up naturally - I think it's my body's way of knowing how much sleep I need and I also don't want to wake up my husband if he doesn't need to get up early. So I guess right now, I need the sleep more than I need the quiet morning time.

5. I've been doing an online Bible study of sorts....it's called She Reads Truth and it's gooooood. So good. Each day I can hardly wait for the next day's study.

I'm linking up with A Rural Journal today

  6. The perks of retirement -- you can go to bed when you are tired and awaken when you are refreshed. I agree your body must be satisfied with your current schedule.

Thank you for the bible study link -- I subscribed by email -- it is good! xo

    1. I hope you enjoy it...I did the advent study and am now doing the fresh start one. I think this one wraps up fairly soon and they'll start a new one.
