{p,h,f,r} and Life Through the Lens

taking a moment to capture contentment and joy in every day life

{pretty}
We had the most gorgeous sunset this week. We don't see the sun very often in winter, and when we do there is a good chance we'll have a nice sunset. When I saw the sun setting I grabbed my camera and headed out. I snapped a few shots and then headed home. It had been pretty and I was quite pleased with myself and my pictures.

Then about 20 minutes later I looked out and saw a pink sky and knew THIS is what I had been hoping for. It was stunning. I sat on my neighbor's dock and just soaked it all in. It was so peaceful watching the ducks swim off into the sunset. Sometimes it pays to wait just a little longer.

{happy}
I can't help but be happy when I see daffodils beginning to poke through the ground. It seems early, but it's common for daffodils to bloom in February around here. The bulbs I have in my yard bloom later (March and April), so it's fun to enjoy my neighbors' and then mine!

{funny}
During school one day this week I heard one daughter say to the other, "Does it look like a real mustache?" At which point I looked up and realized she had drawn a mustache on her face. She's silly, that one!

{real}
Proof of my ability to "stash and dash".

I need to do some decluttering and cleaning up.
