Black and White Wednesday ~ An Instagram Challenge

One of the reasons I'm enjoying Instagram so much is because of the challenges or daily prompts I'm following. Having a prompt or challenge really inspires me to be creative and think outside the box.

Recently a new Instagram friend invited me to a 5 shot challenge with the theme black and white.

Here's what I came up with...a few of these were also satisfying other prompts.

I tend to be literal at times, so my first photo was of morning dew on our black deck chairs.
I also submitted this for a "morning" prompt.

This one was also submitted for the prompt "tiny".
That's a tiny violin (the smallest size they make) next to my full size violin.

This one was also submitted for the prompts "this is different" (roots growing visibly)
and "my happy place" (being rooted in God's Word)

And this is just from our recent hike...

Following the prompts has really been a way to nurture and develop my creativity. It's why I love this form of social media so much.

  3. That tree roots shot is my favorite! That would be great with a scripture.

  4. I agree, I enjoy following prompts! And I love instagram!! (find me - I'm scrapbookmom17) The roots are my favorite....I'm currently obsessed with trees! There are two local ponds where, close to the edge, there are a few trees with their roots exposed. I just stand and stare!! Thanks so much for linking up!

    1. I know...trees have become my winter "flowers". And here in the Pacific Northwest, we have quite the variety.

I'll go look for you on instagram.
