I had so much fun with my One Skirt ~ 8 Ways post that I was inspired to put together some more outfits with this new dress. I've never been a big fan of the color blue, but I LOVE this color - especially for fall.
These first three are the plain, obvious options that I would normally put together. Well maybe not the middle one...but I'm trying to find ways to wear this scarf my daughter bought me for Christmas last year. It's a tough color for me to wear.
The next three are me stepping out of my comfort zone and playing around with color. I really like the bright colors together.
And I'm not sure what the last three are....the scarf is new and I bought it with this dress and my purple skirt in mind (it has both colors in it). I think it will be a fun scarf, especially in fall.
And in case you are wondering, yes...I usually wear a skirt or dress every day even though I'm home with my kids. I find them incredibly comfortable (especially with leggings underneath) and I still feel feminine and put together. Dressing up a bit makes me take my role as a home educator a bit more seriously - and I'm always ready to run an errand or teach violin.
If this type of thing appeals to you at all, then I would encourage you to do this. Find something in your wardrobe and see how many different ways you can wear it. I highly encourage you to try things on and even take photos of yourself. It's not until I look at the photos that I can see what I really like. It might seem silly and it is a little time consuming, but I've discovered quite a few new ways to wear my clothes. Instead of feeling like I have to wear the blue dress again, I'm excited to wear it a different way.
I'll be back next Monday with another dress....
I think I like the middle left with the coral cover and the bottom middle with the black the best! Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThose were my favorites, too.
DeleteI am shocked! You don't really care for the color blue! I will forgive you ;) I love that dress and all the ways that you styled it, I would love to have a few stape items in my wardrobe like that. I tend to be a capri/shorts and t-shirt person through the summer. Maybe that is just my California native in me :)
ReplyDeleteI used to wear capris all the time, but then I discovered skirts and dresses with leggings and find them to be so comfortable!
Deletewhat a fun post!!!

What a great idea! Maybe you could come to my house and help me?
ReplyDeleteMy personal favorite is number four.
