{pretty, happy, funny, real}

taking a moment to capture contentment and joy in every day life

{pretty}
we went to a tulip farm this week ~ beware of too many photos

{happy}
We had a wonderful, happy hike over the weekend. By driving an hour east we were able to escape the rain. Hiking makes me so happy, especially this time of year when the wildflowers are blooming! I was even more happy to see some butterflies!

{funny}
On this particular hike we saw HUGE beetles that, strangely, did head stands when provoked. I'm not sure how this is an advantageous means of defense, but there must be a reason. We thought it was rather funny and touched every one we saw just to see them stand on their heads. (and just for reference, these were about the size of a thumb)

{real}
Spring is muddy and my girl likes mud.

    Loved this post! It has been a while since I've read blogs, but I just tried out Feedly this morning and hope to make time to visit some of my favorite spots throughout the week. Hope you are well!

    1. My girls live in rain boots! They wear them all year and it's their foot wear of choice. I try to buy them second hand, because I know the plastic they are made of is some of the very worst for the environment. So getting them second hand makes me feel a little better.

    1. This is a beautiful part of the country. I had no idea just how beautiful until we moved here. I've lived in my fair share of states that still got snow in April and I don't miss it one bit! Although on some rainy days I wish it was snow because snow is prettier than rain.

  5. We encourntered a handstanding beetle last summer and never knew it was common. (We thought maybe he was training for the beetlOlympics).
