Simplifying in the Kitchen

Months and months ago (probably a year ago), I began transferring my recipes onto a recipe app on the ipad.

I had a lot of recipes and it was very time consuming. I would work diligently for a couple evenings, then put it all away for weeks (or months).

At the beginning of this year I decided I must finish this task. I was tired of it hanging over my head. Tired of not knowing where the particular recipe I needed was....was it on the ipad? Was it in the stack of recipes I still needed to type up?

I am so happy this is finally done. I'm even happier that since completing the task, my husband has bought a new ipad and given me the original one. This means when I go to prepare dinner each afternoon, I don't run the risk of him having taken the ipad to work with him! (that may have happened a time or two).

And I'm even happier that I now have zero cookbooks in my kitchen! Actually that's not true, my daughter got a cookbook for Christmas.

  1. Oh how nice to have all the recipes in one place! I've been trying to slowly gather mine into one semi-organized binder. I like that our laptop is now light and small enough to have on the counter for when I'm trying a new recipe out. I can do it right from the screen and if it's a winner I can add it to the binder...if I remember to print it out :)

    1. It's called Recipebook. It was either free or really cheap. It's one of the apps that doesn't transfer/cross over to the iphone - I wish it did.
