{pretty, happy, funny, real}

taking a moment to capture contentment and joy in every day life

{pretty}
When we were out and about the city this week, I ran across a couple beautiful displays of color.

 {happy}
My youngest daughter bought me this scarf for Christmas. Although I think it's beautiful, it's not a color I normally wear and she's asked me a couple times when I would wear it. I finally found a combination that made me very happy.

I dined with royalty this week.

{real}
Our house is for sale.
There are so many emotions flooding me about this fact that it's crazy. I'm excited about the possibility of moving out of a neighborhood and getting a little more land. But I LOVE our neighborhood and our neighbors and will miss them terribly. I'm excited about finding a house with perhaps a little more space or at least a better use of space for our family, but also feel like a failure that it feels too small. If we do end up staying here, then I'll make it my mission to make this house feel bigger.

  1. Good luck on the sale of your home! Your scarf is beautiful, but I was distracted by your hair style - I love it!

  2. You're moving!! Wow! Good luck with the sale and I hope you find the right place for you. I'm feeling like I'd like to move soon, too, except I'd be good with something smaller...this house is too much for me right now and I'm too type A about keeping it in order. Also love your hair and scarf!

  4. I love that scarf and think it would be a color that would compliment you well.
    I remember that when we went to Peru, you were just moving into that house and you were feeling excited anxious about it then!

    2. I can't remember how exactly how I found your blog a few months ago, but I do love it. So, I will be silent no more :) It is just so encouraging. I am thankful that your blog is so simple and never seems intrusive. These days I try to limit my internet activity and simplify my life, not for vain reasons, yet to not waste my time during things that do not Glorify the Lord. Your blog is one of the few I can read and feel it is really not a waste of time. Thank you! Lord Bless you and your family.

    3. Eboni...thank you so much for your kind, encouraging words. I'm so glad you broke your silence and said hi. Sometimes I wonder why I bother to blog in the first place, but then an encouraging word like yours comes along and I'm inspired to continue. Blessings to you as well.
